The new single from Ceremonials has apparently leaked, which has forced tha label to make it available for download and it’s also on Spotify.

It’s called Shake It Out and it’s got a heavy anthemic and R&B feel to it. Sounds pretty epic.

Here’s the single artwork.

Hello all!!!

Well, I’m not gonna lie to you. I haven’t been so excited about Florence related news in a long while!! Been waiting to say this to you for so long – the second album is finished!!!

Yes, yes it is!! The album is still untitled, but it’ll be released in the UK next November 7th via Island Records, and it’ll be released sometime that same month in the US.

You can listen to the first track off the album ‘What the Water Gave Me’ below, and at the end you will find a link to a recent interview with her at Pitchfork.com on the new record.

Paul Epworth talks about album two

posted by Poisoned Apathy on August 15, 2011 under News with 0 comments

Hi all!

Great news coming from Flo’s producer Paul Epworth!
It seems that the recording of the songs for Florence + the Machine second album has been finally completed!!

Here’s what he said on his twitter:

“Had a week of wonderful mixes coming in for Florence 2. I love handing something over to hear it come back better. I feel for the a&r dept having to try and whittle these tracks down to 10 or 12 because there really are no weak ones”

“It’s a weird record that sounds live in ways and like a machine in others, with sensitivity and power from both the music and Flo’s voice.”

Don’t know about you, but I’m getting really excited for this record!
We’ve been waiting long time for it, since wonderful debut album Lungs came out in 2009.

It’s been a great journey for Flo and her band, since those humble beginnings to her latest triumphant performances. The world is at her feet, just as it should be!

The album hasn’t got a tittle yet, and there’s no official release date, but now the recordings are done, this shouldn’t be much delayed.
